There are four nuts that are behind the fan and it just gets wiggled off gently once you get the shroud out of the way here is a link to a diagram http://www.nissanpartszone.com/components/1997-nissan-pathfinder_water-pump-cooling-fan-thermostat-210-1274.html

97 nissian pathfinder shuts off when Driving any speed, occurs once in a while.

Find each end of the earthing straps that connect the battery to the chassis, and the chassis to the engine and transmission. Take these connections off and test the cables for continuity, bend them and move them like they would be when the engine and trans move when acelerating and engine braking, as well as going over bumps etc then sandpaper the earthing points on the chassis, engine etc and both ends of the cables until they are bright metal.
Dab on some dielectric grease or I use copper slip to reduce future corrosion and tighten up all the connections good and tight.
Electrickery requires a return path to the battery that is just as good as the large positive cables supplying to the various components. If there is a break in the earth cables or corrosion etc the movement of the vehicle while driving could randomly act like an on off switch...........

I have a 97 nissan terrano and the heater blows basiclly no heat, fan works fine, where is the problem? have been told pollen filter, flush radiator and possible heater coil?

Nissian has what is called a heater control valve . It is located under the hood in the heater hose going to the Heater core ( not coil ) this vavle controls the flow of coolant going into car it can be plugged or dissconnected . Start by having this checked before any thing else .

Where can I get an ignition key code for a 1997 Nissian Pathfinder? Local dealer key codes go to 1998.

Without changing all the lock cylinders the cheapest easiest way would be to call a local locksmith to cut a new key. Generally $60-$80 and no need to remove the lock cylinder.

Where are the bolts that you need to loosen to get the fan belt off of a Nissan Pathfinder?

it is easy to find but hard to explain. standing in front look to the rightish middleish of engine you will see a small idle pulley that above it is a 14mm bolt sticking up you loosen the nut on the pulley then you turn the 14mm sticking straight up to loosen and tighten. so it is the only 14mm bolt thing sticking straight up to the sky. attached to a small pulley loosen pulley the turn 14mm .
