Got a 87 oldsmobil delta 88 put new computer and cam sensor and coils brain under coils and sill wont run what do i do know

Have you checked to see if you have spark?have you checked to see if you have feul pressure?Do you have compression?Have you checked all the fuses?

Are you saying the injectors are getting power from a source other than the key switch ? They should be powered with the key on and the computer provides the ground connection to make them open. I could see one injector sticking open, but not all 6 injectors.

Replaced everything under the sun on our 87 olds delta 88...wont fire on its own but will fire and run fine as long as u shoot it with starter fluid. We replaced starter, fuel pump, filter, plugs, wires,...

Can you here the fuel pump running?no, check fuse,and pump relay. Check pump fuel pressure,at the fuel injector rail,or throttle body. Check for voltage at the top wiring on the fuel nozzel.While cranking look for pulsating voltage.None, test computer,scan system. let me know the outcome.

Where is the MAP located on a 87 olds delta 88? is it on the firewall?

I have a series II 3.8 liter. The MAF sensor is located under the plastic cover for the engin. You have to take the oil fill cap and neck off to lift the cover off. Once the cover is removed, the MAF sensor can be seen at the top and to the left of the engin. it is a small square box that has a three wire plug in and two vacume lines going to it. Ceck to see if the wire connections are ok before you replace the sensor. Good luck.

Bucking engine

Check the fuel pressure,also change the fuel filter.check the crankshaft sensor,or replace.It sounds more like the tps sensor(throttle position sensor).It is mounted in line with the throttle axle,on the throttle horn.Of course .with out being there and checking I am just guessing.But map sensor or mass air flow sensor could also cause this.Have you checked the air filter?This will cause the problem,if it is stopped up restricting air flow to engine and mass air flow.,map sensor,and vacuums needed to run the car.If I can help,let me know.

I'm having a problem with my 87 Old Delta 88 Royale misfiring and smelling of gas. My son-in-law changed the plugs and wires. They also put a new oxygen sensor on it. Does it take two sensors or one? This...

the oxygen sensor just reports back to the computer if the fuel mixture is too rich or too lean so the COMPUTER can control the fuel flow.

You are sending raw fel into your converter that is overhating trying to treat that much unburned fuel. Don't do this for long or you will ruin the converter.

I'm not familiar with your ignition system, but that is where the problem is. It may be the distributor cap that has a carbon track (looks like a crack) in it. Or, it could be a coil that's bad if you have a separate coil for each spark plug.
Try removing 1 plug wire at a time to see if the misfire is the same or worse. If the ame, that is the problem area. Don't do this with the engine running unles you hae special unsulated plug wire puller or you will get a good shock.
