Question about 1992 Dodge Dakota
There is a switch that when triggered will illuminate the 4wd light. That switch is stuck in the on position. Check the transmission linkage that is attached to the 4wd. There are not many switches, so it should not be hard to find. It is probably just dirty and has gotten stuck. Use some wd40 to get it working again, and worst case scenario, you will have to replace it.
