Have a 1989Pontiac 6000 LE it won't start. It has new battery starter and altermator. I turn key and have nothing no clicking noise or nothing. Any help greatly appreciated

When turning the key to start measure for B+voltage at the S terminal on the starter solenoid . If no B+ voltage possible bad park neutral safety switch . check For B+ voltage at the heavy gage battery cable on the starter while trying to cranking the engine , less then battery voltage , bad cable . Find starter voltage drop testing on youtube , watch the video . Also starter circuit testing .

How remove or disable the shut off, its wired into the box next to the battery on a 2003 monte carlo

When you turn the key you here a clicking noise right .
Check the connections on your battery then test the battery they sell small battery testers with little balls that float or sink depending on how good the battery is .

I have a dead battery and I try charging it lights go on but when I turn the key to turn on it gives me a click click noise... Does anyone have an idea wat it is ???

Your battery may have a dead cell, take it to Autozone and let them test it,it's free, also make sure your battery cables are good and make a tight connection to the battery terminals.

If the starter is the original, I would suspect it needs replacement.

Access the ignition switch, remove the connector, and test the switch using an ohmmeter. Procedures for accessing the switch are available at the link below.
Repair Guides Steering Ignition Switch And Lock Cylinder AutoZone com

using the wiring diagram below, the switch terminal with the pink/black wire comes from the bettery and should have continuity with the terminal with the dark blue wire when the key is on. It should not have continuity when the key is off. Similarly, the battery terminal should have continuity with the terminal that connects to the yellow wire when the key is turned to the start position. If the switch fails this test, replace it. If not, please get back to us for the next step.

If your battery is good, then check all of your connections. If they are all sound, then you may have a bad rebuilt starter. It happens. Go back to the parts store, rebuilder, or installer.

My car wont start battery is not dead, but wont turn over?

if the battery is fine check if you hear a clicking noise coming from the starter motor when you turn the key to try and start the engine.
If you hear this noise then this is a good indication that the selenoid has failed meaning you need to replace the starter motor.

You can give the starter motor a hit with a piece of wood as some times this will get the starter motor working just to start the car but this isnt a permanent fix and could leave you stuck if you used the car.

Now if the starter motor isnt clicking but you hear a clicking noise coming from either the cars fuse box or the ecu when you turn the key to start the car then this would indicate a problem with the imobiliser this would need testing using a diagnostic machine as their is no other way of testing this to find out if its at fault.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

91 camry wont start fuse problem?..the car is great running cond.

Probably the battery. The battery may have enough voltage for the lights to work; however, this may not be enough voltage to start the car.

Find someone with cables to give you a jump start. Then take the car by an auto parts place and have them load test your battery. Most stores do this at no charge.

1994 Toyota Tercel Starter Problems

sounds to me that you have an igniton problem not a starter problem and or if you have or had an alarm system could be cause if u do give me feedback and i will explain but seems that your starter is fine from what u say but if you think in terms of the elemts to start a vehicle batery gives pwoer to ignition which sends to starter which gives spark etc i would check you ignition system something is causeing a short and not alowing starter to function
