Open trunk, pull away any liner, and if you
don't see any bulb socket to remove,
remove the nuts, usually 3, to remove the light housing

The bulbs made in china don't last
Any other country,so-so

The left blinker on my 2001 mercury sable blinks twice as fast as my right one. Does that mean I should replace the bulb?

This usually indicates that there is a bulb burned out.You will need to put the right signals on and walk around the vehicle too see which ones need to light up in order to find the one on the left that is burned out when you turn the signal to the left.

It is a 2003 mercury sable. My turn signals don't work at all and I had the bulbs checked and changed and that didn't work. I also had a mechanic to remove the panels under the steering wheel to try and...

The handle that you grab to turn on the signal is part of the switch. It all has to be replaced. It's right under the steering column cover. There are three or four screws on the bottom of the cover, there are usually two screws that hold the switch on to the columnn

My rear turn signals are not working i have checked all the fuses is it the flasher ? if so where is it located

Try your 4-way flashers, turn them on, walk around the car look for a burned out bulbs.
If your rear bulbs are still out then the problem is either burned out bulbs or wiring.

Signals on mercury sable 2002

I think that it could be a short somewhere along the circuit. Your front turn indicators, your dash blinkers, and your rear turn indicators are all on one circuit. Maybe a wire rubbed on a piece of metal or got too hot and the plastic housing melted off. Electrical problems are nothing to toy with as they can lead to your car burning to the ground. I'd take it in so a technician can run some tests to determine if there is a short somewhere along the line.

The front turn signals do not work. The rear turn signals do work. The left turn signal went out first, followed by the right turn signal two or three days later.

Sound like U just need to replace the burned out turn signal bulbs. Does your inside turn indicator blink faster than it use to, cause thats an indication that U have a bad bulb.

Hope U find this helpfull

My 1997 mercury sable signal lights dont work right after I turn the hazard light switch on

The flasher module is responsible for the flashing of the turn signals and hazards. this device will fail overtime. you will need to replace this failed module asap. Replacing the flasher will restore the signal functions in this vehicle. (Check the bulbs before replacing the flasher)
