My 2003 ford expedition drives fine, until it warms up, after it warms up, it cuts off in drive. But stay running in reverse, what's wrong? Somebody told me it could be my torque converter might be locking...

have you checked your tranny levels
if the oil is low when it warms up the torque converter will slip
but as soon as you put it in reverse there will be enough oil in the finns to move you backwards .

19997 chevy 1500 transmission shiftsbut when in overdriveit seems to be cutting out wha is the problem?

try using lucas transmission oil treatment it might be the lock up clutch in the torq converter sliping. if the transmission is a 4L80 and thier is alot of miles on it the torq converter clutch usally gets a glaze build up and the lucas treatment is wonderfull for that.if the treatment didnt work then overdrive is starting to go out you need to take it to a transmission shop hope this helps

TCC valve is most likely worn out, needs rebuilt transmission with new rebuilt converter. Most likely P1870 shift code.

1993 grand cherokee torq converter staying locked in

when was the last time you replaced the fluid in it? also, as mine did, you could have some burs causing stuff to stick, had to grind some of those off manually (even in the trans.) it may be as simple as replacing the fluid, but more likely its a lot worse than that by now
