The gear shift is stuck in park. I can depress the button on the gear shift, but it won't move.

Replace the gear shift. The solenoid you pushed down on is jammed. You can't buy just the solenoid.

My shift lever will not move from park even afetr appling the brakes

There is a little black cap beside the shifter, you can't miss it. Pop the cap off with your key, and inside there will be a button, push that button down and hold it there, with the brakes applied. Now the shifter will work.

My floor shift button doesn't seem to want to push in allowing me to shift the car into drive or even out of park. What do I do to fix it?

Replace the shift lock solenoid. There is a little piece that lifts out so you get it into gear. Open it and push down with a small screwdriver.

Gear stick stuck!

Are you pressing down on the brake padle when you are trying to get it out of park? If that don't work check the fuses & there may be a relay that's may be related to a safty divice to the stick shift. If you don't press the brake padle the stick shift will not release so if you leave the car running a child could not push in gear. The lock silinoid is at the gear console
