If the car still runs OK you can **** out the excess fluid with a plastic accordian pump. A long piece of plastic tubing can also be used. Just be careful not to get any fluid in your mouth!

Not sure to be honest but maybe its time to trade it in quick before it packs up completely ,also i would check the breather on the top of the gearbox in case its blocked with mud or something and building up internal pressure but even so the dip stick is a long tube to throw oil out of here their is something drastic wrong

How do I check trans fluid on a 06 750li?I have a dip stick but it doesn't say on dip stick; if I check It with car in neutral or park while engine is running,or do I check it with engine off.

most vehicle auto trans are checked while the engine is running and trans is warmed up to normal operating temp. except hondas which are checked with engine off. pull out the dipstick and the fluid level should be somewhere in between the hash marks. if its low just top off a quarter quart at a time and watch the fluid residue on hash mark on the end of dipstick.

I have a 1977 Mercedes 300d the fluid burps out of dipstick tube and unable to competly fill trans will blow out while driving or after I park.

Trans' may be already full. The dip stick is attached to the trans' pan corner and out of the way of rotating parts.

With engine idling, dip trans very quickly...fluid should be below lower mark if fluid is cold and just below the upper mark if warm.

Transmission dip stick keeps popping out

check trans. fluid level per owners manual. The high operating temperatures cause fluid to expand greatly,an over-filled transmission can actually force excess fluid out of the dip stick tube.check level with trans. hot, engine running in park on a level surface. After driving, place shifter in park, hold brake and move shifter through all gears and back to park.remove dipstick, wipe clean,re-insert and check fluid level.normally, trans fluid & filter should be changed +/- 100 k miles

The trans that is in your Explorer does not have a dip stick. It has a fill/drain plug in the trans pan that is used to fill and check the fluid level in your trans.

Check transmition fluid is via the trans dip stick located were the engine meets the tranny.. Dip stick should be labled transmition with the engine hot and car in park. pull dip stick out wipe clean. reinsert into tube fully then remove. the highest oil level is the reading level is reference to the stamped marking on the dip stick indicating fluid level "high or low"
