Question about 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee
If you look at the base of the arm where it fits over the stub from the wiper transmission, you will see a stainless steel tab. swing that out to unlock it from the stub and carefully pull and rock it and it should come off. I know someone (KD?)makes a pry tool for that but chances are you won't need one.

Turn your wipers off, using the stalk on the left side of your steering column. Turn your ignition off and remove the key.
Pull the wiper blade up to lift it to the service position. Pull the front part of the blade down to position it at an angle.
Pull back the lock pin on the center part of the wiper blade (where it connects to the wiper arm). This unlocks the blade from the wiper arm.
Grasp the blade on each side and pull it down (away from the extended wiper arm) to release it from the "U" clip.
Repeat the process for the other wiper blade, if desired. Removing the driver's side and passenger's side wiper blade is the same.
Install the new wiper blade. Open the lock pin on the new blade, and then insert it into the wiper arm "U" clip. Close the lock pin and lower the wiper blade to its normal position.
