Where is the oil pump on 1999 ford explorer awdrive

I assume you mean transfer case

It is inside and has to be completely
stripped to get to it

If your talking engine,then most likely, you
will have to remove the front center axle,
to remove the oil pan

Wheres the oil pump


The oil pump will be in the oil pan bolted to the motor. You must remove the oil pan to access it. In some vehicles you may have to loosen the motor mounts and lift the engine up a little to remove the oil pan.

oil pump maybe tired or bearings worn out, try more heavy grade oil, if that helps sounds like bearings, and maybe an overhaul is needed, keep oil changed reg and just drive it
