Question about Nissan Altima

1 Answer

There is a clicking noise coming from under the dash board of my 2001 Nissan Altima. Its more toward the fuse box. The lights go dim as I'm driving it and the power seat will not work now. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the seat motor has a short. Unplug the connector wires to the seat if you can reach them. The clicking is probably a relay (circuit breaker) for the seat and is resetting. You might also unplug the relay.

My signal are working well outside but dose not indicate on the datch board car nissan altima 2003

There is a Relay usually in the interior Fuse Panel under the Dash for the Turn signal that's where the clicking noise comes from also when your turn signals are on, I suspect you have a bad Relay or even a Fuse. Its unlikely the bulbs simultaneously went out in the Dash. So check your fuses and the Turn Signal Relay.

Where are the fuse and relays for a 2001 Nissan

Relays are located in many places on vehicles. You would have to know what relay in particular you were looking for to find it's exact location. Fuses are easy to find, they are in the compartment right in front of your left knee on the lower section of the front of the dash, the drivers side of the dash between the door and the dash or sometimes under the hood. There is a door that pulls off to reveal the fuses, the door will have a diagram of the fuse locations. Here is a link from the internet with more information. My brake lights dont work for a 2005 nissan altima. how many fuse boxes are there to check

I saw two fuse boxes, one appears to be close to battery and interior fuse box.
As far as the interior fuse box, I'd look along lower edge of dash. Sometimes the fuse is located on the end of dash, have to open door to see it.
Do you want a wiring diagram for brake lites?

Where is the flasher relay located in 2001 nissan altima?, I need to replace it but cant find where it's at I know it's supposed to be somewhere under the steering wheel

Do you mean the flasher? Under the dash on that side, near the side of the car. Should be round, about the size of a silver dollar.

If you mean a relay for the turn signals/hazard lights that (if there is one) would be in the "fuse box" under the hood.

Nissan does not use inline fuse. You are looking for fuse number 34 (red 10 amp fuse). It is located under the hood between the engine and battery. Possibly marked "ILL"

Check your battery fuse mine just also did that and it was the fuse under the hood. Location of fuse box is by the battery and it should be the big fuse close to the middle
