The plug is on one of the bottom corner of the radiator you cannot miss it, jack car up so that you have enough room to crawl under neath and make sure you chock the rear tire good luck

2005 Kia Carnival. Q1 coolant capacity Q2 where is the engine block drain plug located

As you have not said which engine is fitted luckily it is the same for both the 2.9CRDI and the 2.5,the coolant capacity is 9.4ltrs, as far as I know there isn't an engine drain plug for the coolant, removing a hose is normally enough to drain it when you open the top engine coolant cap (DO NOT OPEN ON HOT ENGINE).

How can I drain Peugeot 407 2.0 diesel coolant?

That is hard to believe, since the bottom hose is the lowest point in the cooling system. There is an engine block drain plug which would let out what coolant is remaining in the engine, but it would be about a liter at most left in the engine. To completely drain the coolant, remove the block drain-there may be a drain plug on both sides of block, so you should check for that.

Location of coolant drain plug on side of motor for a 1995 mitsubishi montero

Not exactly, need to bleed air from system look topside of engine area for a bleeder port may need a filler reservoir full of coolant when doing this keep it full turn on heater full hot fan on high watch temp gauge if it gets hotter than normal reading and no hot air from heater ducts turn engine off ASAP it can be a pain in the grommet to bleed cooling systems but if you don't engine damage is imminent got to get air out of system drain plug on block does not sound right maybe it's on the top of block I have pulled hoses and filled system thru those and even used garden hose to force air out squeeze hoses rock vehicle and make big messes but don't overheat the engine from complete cool engine you have about ten minutes to get r done then let it cool down try again

  • After the engine cools down, remove the radiator cap.
  • Completely open the radiator drain ****.
  • Allow the coolant to drain from the system until the flow stops.
  • Place a drain pan under the block drain hole plug.
  • Remove the drain hole plug from the engine block.
  • Allow the coolant to drain from the block until the flow stops. There may be more drainage from the radiator at this time.

Where is the drain plug for the radiator

Should be a drain **** at the bottom of the radiator that unscrews out. It looks like a wing nut has been welded to a bolt on the end of it. Another way to do this is just pull off the bottom hose.

Where is the engine coolant drain bolt on a 2003 2azfe camry? i found the radiator drain but can't find the engine drain plug-a photo would be great

The textbook method is to remove the drain plug on the bottom of the radiator.

Most drain plug is make of inexpensive nylon/plastic and it may fall apart while you turn it.

The professional method is to loosen the lower radiator clamp and drop to lower radiator hose.

Drain the coolant onto a large drain pan and recycle the coolant

Im replacing timing belt, accessory belts and water pump on my hyundai elantra gls 1997 sta wgn auto transmission. (1)Where is bolt to drain engine block coolant?(2)After removing front engine mountin

    (1) No need to know if engine block coolant drain plug was available. Once the water pump was removed, all engine block coolant was drained. (2) After removing the three engine mounting bracket bolts, I also removed the mount bracket from the the body and made enough room to replace the timing belt easier.

    Can't find coolant drain plug

It should be on the passenger-side of the bottom of the radiator, facing the rear of the Focus. If not you will need to remove the lower radiator hose.

Coolant drain plug on engine block

there is no drain plug on the engine block unfortunately, however taking the lower radiator hose off will drain almost all the coolant out off the block. then reconnect the lower hose and fill completely with just water and flush solution let sit for a few minutes. then take lower hose off again let it completely drain. reconnect lower hose and fill with 60/40 mix of coolant this will protect to -40 degrees F. when you have it completely full keep cap off radiator and start vehicle turn your heater on hot and the fan to high. top off with coolant and replace cap. there should be no need to bleed system of air. please rate this solution.
