How do i fix the brake lights on my mercury sable. all the other lights work fine

Does your car have the `lamp out'indicator system? It's more complicated.
My manual shows fuse #28 , a 15 amp fuse powers the brake bulbs. Is this the one you changed?
A bulb can be out for a long time and you don't notice it,then the other burns out and you think they both went out at the same time, but they might not have, see?
So check the bulbs and make sure you got that brake switch installed correctly. don-ohio (:^)

2004 ford mustang mach 1 brake lights dont work dont have manual to change the fuse

I don't believe there is a separate fuse for the high-mount brake light. Never was on older cars, that brake light is just spliced into the rear brake lights. Have you checked the bulb?

Brake lights don't come on?

If none of the bake lights work than start by checking the brake light fuse. If it is good than check the brake switch located under the drivers side of the dash and near the brake pedal lever. There should be power in all the time and power out when the pedal is pressed. If that checks out it is entirely possible that all three of the bulbs are burnt out. So it wouldn't hurt to check them as well. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using FixYa.com!

My left brake lamp wont work and i dont know where the fuse is for it

If the other brake light works, it is not a fuse problem,
common sense

If a fuse ever does blow, you have to find out why

Replace a blown fuse & it will blow again 9 out of 10 times

Replace the lamp if it is burnt out.

All three brake lights are out on my 94 Acura integra.

Check the owner's manual. There are fuses under the hood as well as by the driver's side floor, where the hood release is. If the cover is gone go get one at the junk yard. Comes in handy, even a fuse puller and spares in there

Are your hazard lights and/or reverse lights working? I can't remember which ties in with your brake lights but one of them do.
