My 1998 Toyota RAV4 airbag light is staying on. How do I turn it off.

You have the condition diagnosed to find out what part is malfunctioning. It could be a simple sensor unplugged or failed. Either way, it is not functioning and should you need it someone may get hurt. Have it looked at. It's worth the price, no matter what anyone says. My friend let his new wife drive his car with a failed Air bag light on, got in a wreck and was killed. Get it fixed. Please. My friend is living in a different world of mental pain knowing he should have fixed it.

I just bought a 1988 Mitsubishi Mighty Max it failed smog due to tail pipe smoke when you you Rev it up and egr function fail how do I fix it so i can smog it I know it burns a little bit of oil

You could rebuild it. stop the burning oil( this is a fail). Or dump it and upgrade your vehicle. Another option is to move to a place that doesn't have emissions testing.

Can you put a straight pipe on 1999 chevy malibu to fix the block cat converter problem?

Sure, it'll fix the blockage issue but I wouldnt do it because a) it IS illegal to mess with emissions control equipment, and b) you will fail your inspection if your state requires it.

Speedometer not functioning properly, diesel gauge and radio not functioning properly also.

The gauge problems are pretty common on the 03-06 Silverados, it's caused by failing gauge motors inside the instrument cluster. Check this page for more on how to get it fixed - Silverado Instrument Cluster Repair

I went for a smog test. everything passed but the fuel evap test.

Fortunately, this problem is limited in possible issues. Look at correct and functioning, and tight fuel cap, which is most common issue. There are vent tubes, vapor seperators, charcoal canisters, and purge systems, but they all are pretty rugged and rarely fail...Usually the test centers pressureize the cap and the fuel tank. You really need to know which one failed.

Some test centers only read the computer data, but that should have invoked the indication light, and then you would certainly fail...if you have a check engine light, pull the codes and fix that indication.

Tachometer fails to work all of the time

You will need to remove the tach and have it repaired by a factory authorized service center, don't go through the dealer, they will 2X the price.
