Transmission started slipping then lost all gears except reverse

Sounds like the gearbox needs rebuilding after refurbishing.

How do you find the reverse gear wire from cab area; when you put in reverse the reverse lights come on- I need to hook up a monitor to reverse gear...

the switch is on the gearbox ,i wouldnt even bother looking for the other end in the cab unless you find the loom running down one side at the front footwell and you can locate the colour of the wire in this big bunch ,unless of course that as this is a 2011 car it may not have a wiring loom as such but a bus line type system with a transistorised switch in the back like the new F type jag .Happy motoring and leave well alone is my advice

Chevy malibu loud when in reverse

Unless you can't stand the noise my advice is to just leave well enough alone. The fix is to remove the transmission and rebuild it, a very expensive repair.

All gears work except reverse won't work. Check

Take the car to AutoZone, they will check your ECM for the code using a OBD II scanner that is causing the problem for free, once you have that code the problem can be diagnosed easier.

2002 Volks Jetta GLS-difficult to shift into reverse gear

no recals but if you are the oreginal owner you have untill 2010or 80,000 miles before the warranty runs out, and if you are past that I bleive you will need a T.C.M transmission control module.
