This code is telling you that there is an issue with your PCM, and that it needs to be replaced. I would recommend that you pick up one from a salvage yard, it will save you some money.

They can be updated, but I cannot guarantee that the dealer can do it with out shipping it out, or just replacing it with one that has been flashed and reprogrammed.

Check Engine light, had it diagnosed, PO601, Internal Controller Failure

Basically that means that there is an interal fault in the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). There have been many reported PCM failures on Chrysler/Dodge products although it is possible for this to happen on any vehicle. In Dodge/Chrysler products, a P0601 trouble code means that a serial communication failed inside the computer at least 6 times. goodluck

Ck eng. light comes on after geting gas code reades Po601

P 0601 = Internal Controller Failure. PCM (Powertrain Control Module) Internal fault condition has been detected.
To clear the Code (and Engine Light) from the PCM use a OBD II Scan tool. If you do not have one, go to an auto parts store. They can hook one up for free. Clear the code using the Scan Tool. It is not recommended to disconnect the battery to clear the PCM Codes, as it will cause the engine to run rough.
If the Code/Light re-appears, there may be a problem with something else.

2006 trailblazer i6 engine has the trouble code Po601 does anyone know what it means? .. i think its the P.C.M. but im not sure. thanks

It's a very strange code. It shows up in the generic "all manufacturer" code list as "P0601 Internal Control Module Memory Check Sum Error"
Here's a complete list and you can see the GM specific codes on that site as well.
