Open the hood. Behind whichever light is burned out, you will see where the wires go in, there is a socket there. Twist the socket counter clock wise and pull it out. Replace the bulb and reverse the proceedure.

Nissan pickup I shut off the pickup the left low beam stayed on I bought a headlight/turn signal switch everything works now except the left low beam will not come on

Did you actually check the bulb? It may have burned out or the wiring to it may have lost connection. Some of these vehicles actually have a separate fuse for the left and the right headlights.

Where is the ground for the left headlight on my 1996 honda civic located?

is the socket that the light plugs into burned or green looking in the contact area if its green or discolored it needs to be cleaned if its burned change the plug there should be three wires 2 + 1- one + for low beam 1+for high check with a volt meter for voltage from 1 wire to frame ground and do the same with the other if voltage is present on both now you know which is the -plug the light in and jump a wire to frame ground if this was the problem it will work now also check for tightness of the bulb when plugged in good luck LATER MAN!

Left headlight won`t work.

Have you checked the fuse box for any blown fuses? If they're all good then you must have a loose wiring harness somewhere or a bad ground.

FUSES # 25,30 & 31 IN THE CENTRAL JUNCTION BOX ALL HAVE TO DO WITH THE HEADLIGHTS & THE GROUND FOR THE LIGHTS IS BEHIND THE LEFT HEADLIGHT. THE MULTI FUNCTION SWITCH & THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH ARE ALSO INVOLVED. YOU MIGHT WANT TO LOOK AT THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH UNPLUG & INSPECT FOR LOOSE OR BURNED TERMINALS.

The bulb in my left headlight is burned out. How do I change it?

FIRST OF ALL YOU HAVE HALOGEN BULBS YOU NEED TO WEAR CLEAN DRY GLOVES ON HANDS WHEN HANDLING HALOGEN BULBS.OIL FROM HANDS WILL CAUSE THEM TO BURN OUT.OKAY TO REPLACE HEAD LIGHT BULB.OPEN HOOD AND PULL UP THE RELEASE LEVER AT THE BACK OF THE HEADLIGHT HOUSING.THE HEADLIGHT HOUSING SLIDES IN AND OUT OF THE BODY IN TRACKS.PULL THE HEADLIGHT HOUSING FAR ENOUGH FORWARD TO DISCONNECT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS THEN SLIDE THE HEADLIGHT HOUSING AT THE WAY OUT.TO INSTALL THE HOUSING SLIDE IT BACK IN ALIGNING THE RIDGES ON EACH SIDE WITH THE TWO TRACKS IN THE BODY.WHEN THE HOUSING IS IN FAR ENOUGH REACH THROUGH FROM THE INSIDE THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT TO REATTACH THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS.

1987 supra left headlight blowing fuse

there is a really good chance that you have a bad power or ground wire. based on the age of the vehicle i would say that it is most likely corroded but it could also be cut or burned

this is not a battery problem there is a short in the system. a low battery will never blow a fuse because in order to blow a fuse you have to excede the amprage rating and a short will do this look for a loose wire on the headlight harness or a bad connector........please rate this
