SOURCE: Jeep wont start

The crank position sensor is on the bell housing of the transmission, very hard to see, on passenger side, below the valve cover, depending if it is an early 2000 or a later 2000 model.

SOURCE: Car wont start. turn the key and it tries to turn

Try 2nd key.

If it does not fire up then it's the immobilizer / alarm circuit at work or at fault.

SOURCE: 20 amp mini fuse in box in engine compartment

It sounds like one of the wires related to the ignition system is shorting out on the grounded frame/engine block. I'd follow the wires that lead to the coil/ECU/distributor or other method of providing spark timing to see what is grounding out.

Okay I have a 2002 Dodge stratus and recently the car just died out. So after gettin a tune up another problem occured where I had to replace the starter. Now with new spark plugs and a new starter the car...

I don't think the key has anything to do with it. Spray a little staring fluid in the throttle body while someone tries to start it. if it fires off, spray a small amount in it to keep it running. if it stops you know you have an issue with a fuel filter / pump or fuel regulator. Main thing is to be sure the gas is getting up to the engine.

Ireplaced my ignition in my ford truck now it wont start. Why

Hi There.
Some ignition systems need a control unit that picks up on, Engine, ignition key and ECU's in paticular vehicles to prevent theft without coded keys. you may need your ignition and / or car recoding..

I have a grand cherokee 1993 it wont im not getting fire

Might be your crank sensor, your coil, your distributor or even your ecu. All of those being bad will prevent the jeep from firing. If you do not have a check engine light lighting up on the dash when you turn the key to on, before trying to crank the engine, then it's your ecu which is bad and needs repair.

My 95 jeep cherokkee wont fire i bought a new coil, rotor button and wires and a crank sensor

Might be the main part, your ecu, which is bad. Does the check engine light show up on the dash when you turn the key to on, before cranking the engine? If no check engine light on the dash, then it's the ecu that's in need of repair.

How do you replace an ecu no power engine stops

ECU usually coded to ignition module. ie: Key and anti theft system.

Need Range Rover compatible scanner to recode ecu.

or dealership to do same.

Help with my 98 camaro

hi, are you saying when you turn the key to start the car nothing happens and it dont even turn the engine over so it can try to start if you mean this then you need to start thinking of starter motor problems and replace if needed.

now if your engine is turning over but it wont fire up then this could be crankshaft sensor, faulty ecu, faulty coil, it could be a number of things you could throw money at it and not find the fault your best bet would be a diagnostic check done to see what codes where thrown up as having errors this would then give you the exact fault and would save you wasting money on parts you may not need
