Is it seizing with the AC on? Or Off? Or both? If it is seizing even with the AC is on and off then this is an internal issue with the compressor, replace the compressor. If it is only doing it while turned on and is still blowing cold air then replace the clutch pulley.

Can I run my truck without my a/c? If so, would I just buy a smaller belt at an auto parts store?

If the a/c compressor is seized you should be able to just turn the a/c off and the pulley will just free wheel with the clutch disconnected. When a a/c seizes it is most likely the compressor and not the bearings that are seized.

Tension pulley seized

If your tension pulley is seized you can do one of 2 things, replace the idler wheel on the tensioner or the whole tensioner assembly as a complete unit, sometimes sand and dirt bind up the tensioner inside and if not taken care of will ruin the bearings on other devices using the serpentine belt. If your belt is running over a frozen pulley, you need a new belt also. Check all your other accessories for damage while the belt is off.

What makes a belt squeak?

Belts squeak for the same reason tires do when they spin. They are slipping. Something isn't turning as fast as the belt wants it to. On ford it's usually ether the idler sprocket or the tensioner. If you remove the belt and try spinning all of the pulleys by hand.( note the crank wont spin freely) you will usually be able to tell witch ones slipping.

Do not know what an alternator bearing is

An alternator bearing is inside the alternatorand can only be gotten at by taking the alternator apart. You don't say which pulleys are shaking but it is quite possible that they are the cause of your noise. They have been wearing for some time and now have gotten to the stage where they are getting noisy and very near the end of their life. With the engine shut off grab the offending pulleys and try to move them up and down or sideways. If there is any movement, and don't be shy when you try, they need to be replaced before they seize up. From noisy bearing to seize up can happen very quickly so get this looked at right away. Hope this helps.

The pulley on the water pump will not turn over. does that mean the pulley is bad or the water pump is bad?

Most likely the bearings went bad in the water pump and caused the lock up situation .So i would have your water pump looked at.

How to tension belt

Your car should have a self adjusting system. If the belt is on the pulleys and it's not tight, the tension pulley is seized up or the bearing in the pulley is shot. The best solution is to replace the tension pulley.

The fans in my 1983 nissan sentra just stopped.

It is most likely a pulley that needs oiling or replacement. If fans are ran by a belt, the fan clutch may be stuck or pulley is seized.
If the fans are electric, the motors may have fried or relay is shot.
