Question about 1993 Ford Taurus
DTC 181 and 189 = fuel mixture errors: 1 - lean at idle, 9 - lean at full throttle. Clean or replace the MAF sensor. The engine pings because the mixture is so lean that it detonates. This is very serious, fix it ASAP or the detonations will blow the pistons apart, destroying the engine.
DTC 186 = MAF output lower than expected. The airflow sensor is clearly dead, replace it.
DTC 543 = fuel pump secondary circuit failure. If you have this code then most likely it's either a false code or the code is an old one, from a problem that gas been fixed . Delete it and check it again if it appears again then test the secondary circuit which consists of the fuel pump and the secondary windings of the fuel pump relay (Constant Control Relay Module). Check the CCRM connector and ground. As a last resort, replace the CCRM.
