Owners manual or haynes mechanic manual or try auto wreckers for fuse panel cover....any parts place or dealer/garage should be able to photocopy that page for you...try that.

Check the fues panel. cig lighter fuse also supplys power to the OBD diagnostic connector. Check the fuses to make sure the guages fuse is not blown too. you will need your owner manual since ford doesn't put the descriptions in their fuse panel cover

Dashboard light out

Yes it can be a fuse, the dash illumination and the tail lights are on the same fuse, check the fuse on the inside fuse panel at the left lower dash, the fuses are marked on the cover, look for the "tail" fuse and try replacing it, if that doesn't fix it let me know.

On a 1988 Mercury Grand M. I have a fuse on the fuse panel that is a 30 amp metal covered fuse. It is about 1/4 inch thick by about 1" by 1/2 inch it is located on the top of the panel. I have no fuse...

You may find the diagram on the link in a forum who's address is listed below:

Please check if you can access it. As for the heating problem you will have to inspect the socket for corrosion or loose parts. You may also have to trace the wire for wiring issue. Other than that you may need to check the components using the fuse to check if it is overloaded. It may be weakening or assembly connected to it may be bad or is simply overworked.

Fthe tail light works but the brake light doesn't work, it probably is the module that has a circuit board. I have replaced it 2 or 3 times on my 2004 XL Envoy ... can I get a part number and location...

First let's determine which brake lights are not working. Does the high mounted brake light work? Do both left and right brake light not work? If none of the brake light work, the problem could be the brake light switch at the brake pedal OR fuse #12 in the underhood fuse panel.
If only the bake lights at the corner lamp assembly don't work, check fuse #34 in the rear fuse panel.
The module your are referring to is the circuit board located in each of the corner lamp assemblies, check on website for the part number of this item. I don't believe this is your problem though.

No dash lights, power locks don't work, fuel gadge doesn't work, radio doesn't work.

all these circuits share some common fuses, check fuse #6 ( 10 amp ), fuse # 11 ( 15 amp ) & fuse #12 ( 10 amp ) all in the inside fuse box at the left end of the dash.....good luck

I am rewiring a fuse panel in my 1987 chevy s10 and there are wires that will not wire into fuse panel

When a car company builds cars they will use the same wiring harness for several different trim packages and options. So there is a very good chance the wires go to options your truck doesn`t have and you don`t need them but don`t cut them out. Leave them there and make sure everything works and then just tie them up out of the way. You never know, may be options you will want to add.
