Crewcab when the check engine light comes on it has to do with a failed emission component ie (catalatyic convertor,plugs,wires,cap,rotor,module,o2 sensor, map sensor, egr valve ect) but from what your describing it really sounds like the ecm (electronic control module) is acting up or the computer is.If you scanned the car and no codes were thrown id say the computer is your issue.

Scan for diagnostic trouble codes, diagnose and repair any codes. The battery light being on is an indication you have an electrical problem.Check with a voltmeter, battery voltage, and alternator charging voltage also at the battery.Have the battery(s) load tested. An electrical system failure or problem will affect all other systems in the truck. The trans in your vehicle should be the 4L80E model, which i have rebuilt many, many through the years. It really doesn't use a neutral safety switch, what it does have is a manifold pressure switch that bolts to the valve body inside the trans pan,and this switch tells the computer which gear it is in by sensing hydraulically, the position of the manual valve (Park,Revers,Neutral)etc..As to the speedometer, the transmission uses an input, and output speed sensor mounted externally on the trans case. The computer is responsible for processing all these sensor inputs, and sending the correct commands,so,if all the diagnostic trouble codes have been accessed, diagnosed, and repaired, and the elctrical system is in good order,i would be looking suspiciously at the vehicle computer (Powertrain Control Module) PCM.Good luck.

Hello,
Well of all the possible reasons i suspect the stepper motor in the cluster the reason for your speedo not working..But primarily when the check engine lights are on always ,which means possibly you left your gas cap slightly loose..so kindly check for it!..Hope this helps you..

Thank you!!...

Where is oxy.sensor

Usually in the exhaust pipe near the engine.
They don't usually cause a rough idle, and the check engine light should be on if you have a faulty sensor.

My car runs really rough and sounds loud when it is below 50 degrees outside, even after it warms up. Could it be an O2 sensor?

Could be an ECT engine coolant temp sensor or an O2 that are faulty. If you do not have access to a scan tool, have someone like a parts place scan it and read the ECT and O2's while it is running .

Air filter, ECU, O2 sensor, bad EGR valve, or clogged cat converter.

Onboard diagnostic computer should be throwing codes. Autozone can check these free (as will other part stores).

Ford e150 codes: p0401, p1401 and p0174. read the more details to see what the symptoms are.

Stop, DO NOT replace expensive parts or O2 sensor! Ford Explorer codes p0174 , p0401 , rough idle and check engine light on. First thoroughly check all of the hoses and elbows connected to the intake and EGR (vacuum system) for splits, cracks, holes or tears, this could quickly cause these codes and fixes for less than $10. Check all connectors and the EGR valve sensor it could have a crack as well, inspect thoroughly because a split sensor could appear attached to the vacuum hoses but hoses could just be sitting there not actually attached due to a split or crack. This was my problem replaced the EGR valve sensor and the two little vacuum hoses attached to them for $50-60 with in stock parts at the local parts store. Took less than 10 minutes to replace and is easily accessible, the check engine light turned off immediately without having to reset the codes by disconnecting the battery, idle became normal and fuel efficiency better. If you have THOROUGHLY inspected every hose, connector and elbow and found no issues, clean the MAF with electrical contact cleaner ( let dry) and clean the EGR with carbon cleaner. A dirty MAF or EGR could also cause these codes to pop up. If this still doesn't work, then consider replacing the EGR, if that isn't it then try the O2 sensor. Good luck!

Check engine light low voltage o2 sensor 04 chevy ventura

your code must be P0131, a P0131 code refers to the first oxygen sensor on Bank 1. P0131 means the O2 oxygen sensor's voltage remained low for longer than 2 minutes. This is interpreted by the ECM as a low voltage condition and sets the MIL. Bank 1 Sensor 1 is located in front of the catalytic converter.
The solution is you can:
1.Replace faulty sensor.
2.Repair short, open, or high resistance on o2 signal circuit. FB.init("dd7d9e9681341cde77587bc6a2029f6f"); OBD-Codes.com on Facebook

P0136, P1131, and P1151 codes on Ford Expedition 2000 4.6L

Your auto has four O2 sensors. Two upstream and two downstream; With two banks. Bank 1, sensor 1...and bank 2, sensor 1 are the two upstream (exhaust manifold before the catalytic). Bank 1, sensor 2 and bank 2, sensor 2 (other side of catalytic)

Code 1131= upstream; bank 1..sensor 1
Code 1151= upstream; bank 2..sensor 1
Code P0136 (generic code) bank 1..sensor 2 (questionable)

I wouldn't spend the money to purchase 3 sensors. Highly unlikely all three are bad; Cost is about $40/ ea.
Since there isn't a code for the cat's themselves, I would suspect the O2 circuit is malfunctioning. The rough idle is another clue.

Take an ohmmeter set it on X10 scale and measure the resistance from engine to body and body to negative post on battery terminal. You should read zero ohms (full needle deflection). If you do go buy two upstream O2 sensors. If you read
open or a high resistance run two straps from eng. to body...and body to neg.batt. post.

Will not start

Service light can be due to misfiring in one cylinder, discharged battery, or faulty O2 sensor. Start from battery (you can try jump start) to distributor cap/wiring/spurk plugs/alternator. Also check fuel lines (fuel injectrors, filter, pump). If no help check O2 sensor and coolant temperature sensor.
Please kinly let me know if you would need more info
Good Luck
