There are two ways i know of to remove fogged up light.. the quick and easy way that works 75% of the time is to get a rag and a new quart of oil.. pour some oil onto the rag and apply the oil over the Head lights with a thick coat... keep doing this every day till the moisture is gone.. or.. you can do the hard way and remove the light and all the bulbs and take an air hose and air gun and blow out the light till the fog is clear.. but make sure your lamps are sealed properly or this problem will never go away

Wash your headlights well using soapy water; rinse and dry. Dip a corner of your soft rag in denatured alcohol, which you can find at most paint or hardware stores. Rub the solution on your lens in small, circular motions. Repeat until your headlights lose some of their yellow hue.

First of all is the headlight on your car free of oxidation.Lens cover should be clear not Foggy,Yellow.or Hazy. Most common problem when visibility is poor it;s because over time the headlights tends to oxidized.Hope this helps. But if your light is mis-alligned check with haynes manual for proper adjustment.

One of my headlight is foggy and dirty on the inside is there a way to take the headlights out and clean them?

Nope...they are a sealed beam type and if it is foggy or has dew in it the seal is bad. You could remove the headlight assembly and wash it out but you will have it happen again.

My headlights keep burning out, both bright and normal. They seem to be shorting out and it's getting expensive. Right after I replace one, the other one burns out! My lens covers are also no longer clear,...

If both lenses are foggy chances are your bulbs are acting like fuses and when wet/damp blowing, reseal with silicon,or replace lenses.(when lenses get foggy it is also a sign that the chrome has oxidised.)

1999 taurus has foggy headlights.

Most Auto Stores sell a headlight solution that cleans the fogginess of your headlight. Assuming your headlight looks dirty and cloudy as would a pool, a simple solution is to pick up the cleaner at any auto place. That is a lot cheaper than buying a new headlight.

what i suggest i can suggest is, buy a clear sealant, and seal the sides of the headlights.

the reason why is air can creep in tha lamps that's why it gets moisture (foggy) and dirty.

hope it helps.

there should be 3 or 4 little plastic nuts in the back of the headlights if you can loosen them up until they come off the headlights should be able to slide right out.
