Your best bet is to change the Ignition Cylinder, I own a 98 Intrigue, same thing happened, I tried a few things and some worked only for short periods, tired of messing with it, I replaced the Ignition Cylinder, 30 min. later I was on the road again.
Good Luck!! A HELPFUL - 4 THUMBS - rating for this solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for using FixYa.

My key doesnt move to the turn engine over position or the off position in my 03 trailblazer.

Sounds like the key cylinder is broken. Try jiggling the key & pulling it in and out while turning it. hopefully you can get it to move that way. But it sounds like you are going to need a new cylinder or a whole ignition switch

My key will start the car fine but when I turn my car off the key gets stuck on auxiliary one. leaving my radio on but if I disconnect the battery it will release the key to the off position.

NOTE: may have misinterpreted the question; if I did, go to the first link as it might have some information that pertains to your situation.

This has to do with the steering lock most likely. Wiggle the wheel back and forth (gently) and (gently) try to remove the key by turning it and pulling.

If that doesn't work, try this website:

Where are the sensors in grand prix 2000 car would die going down road would pull over and wait for stereo clock to shut down the car would restart and may go two or three weeks before doing the same thing...

sounds like a crank sensor went bad.sometimes in early stages they are intermittent then they finally go bad and car wont run. look into that. as far as the key switch it could be orn out or your key could have a small nick on it

My 2002 sunfire is stuck in park. Also the key is getting stuck in the ignition. Appreciate any advice.

rock steering wheel back and forth, while turning the key, rock vehicle back and forth to take pressure off transmission shifter. are you parked on any kind of up or down hill grade? if so, that's the problem. start using emergency brake before putting in park.

When i turn my key, i hear clciking and finally the car turns on after about 20 turns. sometimes contact is made, but not all the way and sounds like it gets stuck in the middle and stops, so i have to...

this is caused by a bad starter, i would also check to make sure the battery connections are clean and tight, this is common on forgein cars, you get a click and as you kepp cycling the key it makes the connection inside the starter and starts, 99% of the time its a bad starter it will get to a point soon where it doesnt start anymore and you will get stuck. hope this is helpful.

The Key won't turn all the way. It only turns half-way and will not turn the full rotation to ignite the starter in order to start the vehicle. Please help me!!!

The final quarter turn of the key engages the steering lock. So while inserting your key, at position it gets stuck turn the steering left-right(to & fro) to loosen the locking pin such that now the key is free to turn the ignition. Oiling the steering locking pin would help too...........sodeep
