Question about 2006 Toyota Solara

1 Answer

I have a 2006 Toyota solara V6 SE and it will not turnover at all! I have replaced the battery. The dome lights come on and so do the warning lights on the speedometer but not the back light when the headlights are on (which do work) but not the fog lights? All fuses look fine but sunroof won't open and pretty much nothing else is operable. No radio or dash lights as in gauges?? I don't see the starter being an issue causing all of this and the "open door" light stays dim lit no matter what... I cannot figure this out anybody have a clue?

If starter doesn't rotate then it's an issue try tapping on starter while someone tries to start it sometimes starters get stuck up...also check that all battery cables to starter are tight the selenoid on side of starter may be problem also if you remove starter most garages and/or parts stores will free test it for you.hope this helps.

My 2006 toyota solara will not start

May be a battery problem, i've seen bad batteries with green eye. the first thing to do is have the battery and the charging system checked, this sounds like it could be a battery problem or bad connections at the battery, if for some reason everything is good then have the starter checked. hope this helps.

Consider trying with another battery. Possibly the battery is dying bcos the alternator is not charging up to rating.

Cheers.
