Whats does the code P 1684 and P 0406 mean for a 2001 dodge intrepid?

P0406 is EGR Position Sensor Circuit High Input

P1684 is The battery has been disconnected within the last 50 starts

If you leave the battery connected the P1684 will go away. the P0406 is the EGR valve is sticking or the sensor that detects how far open it is has failed. You could try taking it out and cleaning it. But I would clear the codes using a code reader that has the ability to "reset" the light.

Can u tell me please what codes 1000 and 0406 mean for 2002 F 150 4X4, 5.4 engine

The 0406 is an EGR pintle position error,1000 is saying a self test has not run.
Sometimes in cold weather the EGR will freeze with moisture, position can be checked with a
volt meter.

Egr code what does it mean

if its the 3.3 then the code would be--0406 egr sensor A curcuit high--- the common fix is to change the egr valve assembly which includes the egr transducer. This egr valve has also a high failure rate and you can check this out by calling the Dodge parts dealer. good-luck !! once egr valve is replaced. have light turned off with scanner. because if it stays on, pcm thinks it still has the problem. it will not send right info to pcm.

What is error code 0406

OBD-ll Code P0406 - EGR Sensor "A" circuit "High" .

The EGR sensor is part of the EGR valve, the valve has failled, need a new one, very common. The pintle sticks or the sensor it self goes bad either way install the new one, disconnect the battery to relearn the pintle position and you're good to go.

Hope helps.

2005 jeep grand 5.7 hemi 0406 code

Check your Racket Pinion, and gearbox. Make sure there is no moisture around it. Seems like you either have a leak in your suspension, or improper pressure somewhere inbetween your stearing box, and your front end.
