You need to be on the display you want to reset, such as low transmission fluid, and then push and hold the reset button. The message will reset, provided of course that the transmission fluid is now at the proper level.

Follow this procedure to reset the Oil Life message:

  1. Turn the ignition to ON without starting the engine.
  2. Fully press and release the accelerator pedal three times within five seconds. If the CHG OIL SOON indicator flashes two times, the system is resetting.
  3. Turn the key to OFF, then start the vehicle. If the CHG OIL SOON light comes back on, the system has not reset, repeat the procedure.
Follow this procedure to reset the Oil Life message using the DE 100 Series Radio
  1. Turn the ignition to ACC or ON and the radio off.
  2. Press and hold the DISP button on the radio for at least five seconds until SETTINGS is displayed.
  3. Press the SEEK up or down arrow to scroll though the main menu
  4. Scroll until OIL LIFE appears on the display.
  5. Press the PREV or NEXT button to enter the submenu. RESET will be displayed.
  6. Press the DISP button to reset. A chime will be heard to verify the new setting and DONE will be displayed for one second.
  7. Once the message has been reset, scroll until EXIT appears on the display.
  8. Press the DISP button to exit programming. A chime will be heard to verify the exit.
Tire Inflation Monitor Resetting
In order to reset (calibrate) the system, turn the exterior lamp control from OFF to parking lamps 3 times within 5 seconds, while the ignition is ON. You may also reset the system through Vehicle Customization Settings using the following procedure:
  1. Turn the ignition to ACC or ON and turn the radio off.
  2. Press and hold the DISP button on the radio for at least five seconds until SETTINGS is displayed.
  3. Press the SEEK up and down arrows to scroll through the main menu.
  4. Scroll until TIRE MON appears on the display.
  5. Press the PREV or NEXT button to enter the submenu. RESET will be displayed.
  6. Press the DISP button to reset. A chime will be heard to verify the new setting and DONE will be displayed for one second.
  7. Once the monitor has been reset, scroll until EXIT appears on the display.
  8. Press the DISP button to exit programming. A chime will be heard to verify exit.
  9. The system completes the calibration process during driving. The system normally takes 15-20 minutes of driving in each of three speed ranges to learn tire pressures:
  • 25-65 km/h (15-40 mph)
  • 65-105 km/h (40- 65 mph)
  • above 105 km/h (65 mph)

I don't think you can, or should disable the Message Center, as it displays important maintenance and safety messages. The best thing to do is fix the problem that is causing the Message Center to display a message. If you still insist on disabling this feature, you could probably remove the fuse for the Radio, but this may disable more features than just the Radio, I am not 100% sure if this will disable the Message Center, and I don't recommend taking this route.
