Try squirting some lubricant into the key hole, it could be that it has some rust and is stuck. Put a wire in and see if you can move things after lubrication.

How remove and replace rear bumper cover in my 2012 nissan altima

In most cars I've seen the screws under your wheel well. Pop your trunk and look where your bumper meets your trunk. There are usually plastic screws holding it in place. The ones that attach to your wheel well are steel.

I cannot open the trunk. I tried from inside the car with trunk button, car key button. Nothing. Help!

Checked all the fuses? I assume your trunk has no key cylinder.
Can you fold down your rear seats? Many times there is a manual release inside the trunk, just incase you lock yourself in the trunk!
If there is no manual release lever or cable with handle to pull the latch itself may have a slot on it that when a flat screwdriver is inserted and twisted it will rotate the release.

I have a trunk locked on bmwzw - key will not open nor will remote work - need to get in to change broken battery cable

You did not mention the year, but I am guessing that you have an all-electric trunk release and the car is electrically dead due to the battery cable problem.
If this is the problem, attach another car via jumper cables to the jumper cable attachment point under the hood and a good engine ground to power the car so the lock will work.

How to replace a back door latch switch

with the hatch open remove any panel near the inside of lock so you can get to the horse shoe clip to remove. You must on some models remove on the outside of the trunk a logo style medal piece that is usually pop riveted on-this can be drilled at the pop rivets -but you must replace by using new rivets when finishing, that will be the last step-always examine the lock before removal so you know how to reinstall.

Have the remote for lock & unlock But the thing locks w/o touching remote. When driving, when parked, etc. it just locks by itself.

hi there
there may be a few things here
1. there may be a sensor on the drivers dor that thinks that it has been locked so it locks all the doors. this happens after a few years my sisters carnival dose the same
the locking motor witch has the sensor in it may need to be replaced
2. in australia 2004 hyundai came out with a featur called "halo"
it was designd to stop perole hijacking cars the doors would lock them selfs after the car was started and incase or accedent the doors would unlock
this may be a feature or a fult due to age
either way its not expencive
hope this helps

Sparay lock assy with lubricant, and look where release cable attaches to lock assy, and push/pry it one way or the other to get it to move, opposite of where it is. Lube cable too.
