The instrument panel cluster, tail (driving) lamps,& license plate lite do not lite. fuses 9,14,20 are ok. what else could be bad or broke?

Check fuse's #19 ,# 6 #4 check grounds 105 & 107
G107 In the left rear of the engine block next to the knock sensor. G105 In the thermostat housing
The park, tail, marker and license lamps are turned on when the headlamp switch is placed in the PARK or ON position or anytime the headlights are requested. The PK LPS fuse in the IP fuse block supplies battery positive voltage to the park lamp relay and the headlamp switch. The body control module (BCM) provides a ground, or control circuit, to the park lamp relay coil circuit during ALC operation. When the park lamps are turned on during ALC, the BCM energizes the park lamp relay. The park lamps can also be supplied battery positive voltage directly from the headlamp switch. Current flow is to the park, tail, marker and license lamps. The front park and marker lamps are grounded at G100 and G101. The rear park, tail, marker and license lamps are grounded at G400 and G401. If the headlight switch is left in the ON position, the park, tail and marker lamps will remain on until turned off or the battery runs dead.
Check the headlamp switch !

I am looking for the parking lite fuse on 1992 geo metro conv

that means there is short in the park lamp feed.
its the largest feed on all cars, and very hard to find, if visuals of harness show no damage, and you remove all 4 tail and front light bulbs. the light blubs with brass (yellow) metal bases, LOVE to short.
remove all 4 and try new fuse.

all ways to find a short are there ,even Duanes video.

I have headlights and running lites, press brake pedal, no brake lites

Pull on your parking lights to see if they come on in the back.If the parking lights work and you still don't have brake lights then I would try replacing the brake switch and check all of your fuses just to eliminate any question of it being a fuse. The brake switch is located under the dash attached to the brake pedal. Also check the bulbs to also eliminate them.it sounds like your brake switch is bad.

Doors will not lock when shifting out of park and will not unlock when car is put in park.

Check your Fuse box, look for the interior components part in your owners manuel listed "Fuse Box"; I think it is a 20 amp fuse, something similar happened to my Grandparents vehicle..

My 2005 hyundai accent wont shift out of park unless i use the shift lock override. any advice?

on most cars when u step on the brake pedal youll hear a "click" near the center console which is the shift solenoid releasing the "lock" on the floor shifter allowing the shifter to come out of park.check to make sure all the fuses are good and check the brake lite switch(es) and wiringfrom brake lite switch to shifter solenoid.a wiring diagram always helps.
