Question about 1988 Toyota 4Runner
Look under the driver side under the truck. it should be about mid way inbetween. it looks like a canister with one line running to the engine and one line running to the gas tank

Check next to the passenger door on the bottom. there should be a black filter about two and a half inches x three and a half, just under the door jam.
