Question about 1995 Jaguar XJ6
Check the power supply from alternator to battery.
Also there should be fuses located close to battery that supply power to main fuse block.

I had exactly the same problem, turned out to be water in the connector block behind the ecu inside the offside front foot well, only found the problem by chance as had to weld the floor on that side, took all the wiring out dried it off put back together, everything worked, mine is a 96 4.0ltr soveriegn
