You should service the throttle body when you do a tune up ant dirt the may have gotten through the air filter, you should also do a fuel injection service. The brake system should be flushed to remove any moisture and contaminates that may have gotten in the system. The brake fluid in the cold weather gets warm while driving then cools down then you get condensation just like with all ohther fluids in the car preventitive maintenence is always a good idea to avoid costly repairs in the future and to keep the car running for a long time
good luck

Honda 2004 accord slows down between 20 and 40 miles when spray throttle body with brake cleaner it runs again why

Try using a carburetor cleaner instead, as it has some lubricants in it's makeup that can actually help the moving parts.

2006 Pilot 134,000 miles great service record to date-just replaced serpantine belts etc. transmission lags in shifting, especially when slowing for a stop where the shifting is becoming increasingly...

I would consider having the transmission flushed, this will include a new filter, fluid and the internal flushed. If the dealership does it they will usually adjust the bands if it is required. Also, the throttle body could use a cleaning. The throttle body has a lot to do with how a vehicle acts when changing gears. It may not need cleaning, but I would check it. This is something you can do if you feel comfortable doing. The throttle body cleaner can be purchased at a local parts store, it's a simple spray and wipe. Good Luck.

I have a 2002 honda accord, V6 with 42,000 miles,,,yes,,,42,000 miles The check engine light went on, the dealer checked the code "p0780" Replace transmission. Can this be right?

The code you have P0780 is an internal hydraulic problem in the transmission. I did some research on this trouble code and the repair manual Say's to replace the torque converter clutch solenoid valve/shift solenoid valve A, and the A/T clutch pressure control solenoid valves A and B.

In plain English these are the shift solenoids and torque converter solenoids. These solenoids control the fluid flow to the transmission and if they are not working properly then p0780 will set.

The bad news is the repair manual Say's to replace these solenoids and if the problem is still present then replace or overhaul the transmission because the problem is internal.

Most repair shops are not going to take the risk and just replace the solenoids, they will replace or overhaul the transmission.

Does a 2007 Honda Accord with 43,600 miles need a engine oil flush? A local body shop said the engine oil is dirty and the engine needs a flush, but the car drives just fine with no such problem.

No, they are just trying to rid you of some money. If the engine oil is dirty it just needs changing not a flush. Change your oil/filter every 5,000 and forget about an engine flush. Notice this is a body shop telling you about your engine. See anything wrong with that? They may know body work but they for sure do not know engines. If this is a V6 have the cam belt replaced at 110,000 miles as this is an interference engine. If it is a 4 cylinder it has a chain so nothing for you to do.

2008 honda accord replace rear brakes

no, 12mm wrench or ratchet on 12mm socket. the piston is tough to push back in. its a twist in type and you will need some force to push and twist the piston back in. - note rear brake pads wearing out on the new 08-09 accords are very common and if under 16-18 thousand miles it may be covered. honda knows about this problem

First things I would look at is,did they put 10w30 oil in and not 5w20 or 0w20,it makes a difference in mileage (if they run out of the correct viscosity oil they WILL put in what they have).
Did the service include a spark plug change? Is the spark plug gap correct?
Did they do a brake service? Is a brake dragging,a little to tight?Did they clean the throttle body?Maybe the engine was running a little lean before and now is at the proper fuel mixture, with less MPGs but running clean at the exhaust.
Weather conditions?Head winds and colder temps reduce MPG.
