You car will have the engine sitting sideways or front to back. if it is front to back look on top of the engine you should see a housing like a dome with a big hose running to it. if you can not find it that way look at your raditaor and follow the big hose on the drivers side it will lead you to the thermostate.

If your cars engine is side ways look at the drivers side about mid way down. The housing with be in there sidways. if you can not find it again look at your radiator and follow the bog hose on the drivers side. it will lead you to the thermostat

Where is the thermostat?

Top radiator hose, one end goes to the radiator, the other end goes to the thermostat housing at the top front of the engine, three bolts to undo to remove the housing and access the thermostat. If you remove the radiator cap and suck out the coolant from the top of the core then none will be spilled when the thermostat housing is removed.

Hi, I think you're on the right track. Here are instructions from

3.2L & 3.5L Engines
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Drain engine coolant from the radiator and engine.
  3. Disconnect radiator hose from the inlet pipe.
  4. Remove the thermostat housing, then remove the thermostat (2).

Fig. Exploded view of the thermostat housing (1), thermostat (2) and outlet pipe (3)

To install:
  1. Install the thermostat into the outlet pipe (4) making sure that the air hole is in the up position.
  2. Install thermostat housing and tighten the bolts to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).
  3. Attach the radiator hose to the inlet pipe.
  4. Refill the engine with the proper type and amount of coolant.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
  6. Start engine and check for coolant leakage.

LMy 93 Cutlass has the 3.1L V-6. I need to replace the thermostat. Which way is the thermostat supposed to go? Spring side down, or up?

Good Evening, on your thermostat the spring goes towards the motor which is away from the hose. Hope this helps.

Where is the thermostat located on a 2000 dodge durango

Follow your upper radiator hose from the radiator to the top of your engine, there where it clamps on is the thermostat housing, remove hose and two or three small bolt's that hold thermostat housing under that is where the thermostat is at. Remmeber that the spring side of the thermostat is what goes into the engine side, facing down.

Where is the thermostat located grand am 2000?

Under the radiator hose that meets the top of the engine
under the throttlebody if you follow the heater hose from firewall on the driverside toward the engine it goes to the thermostat housing.

To get to the thermostat you need to remove air cleaner box assembly from the throttle body and move it out of the way. Next, remove the nut at the throttle body that holds the steel tube that goes to the heater hose, remove all hoses that connect to this tube and raise it out of the way. Remove the steel line that goes to the radiator surge tank from the thermostat housing. Now the fun part. With a 13MM box end wrench, loosen the lower bolt from the thermostat housing. A 13 mm socket will remove the top bolt. Remove the thermostat cover and remove the thermostat. Reverse to install.

I need to know where thermostat goes in my 2000 tibron?

You should be able to follow one of the large lines from the radiator to the thermostat housing. The housing is on the drivers side of the block. One of the large hoses from the radiator goes directly into the thermostat housing.

Be sure not to damage the wires to the collant temperature sensor when removing the thermostat housing.
