I have 2004 nissan sentra ,I can not get anything to come on

this could be a problem in the power distribution box under the bonnet like a corroded cable or the vibration has broken it ,disconnect the battery and put it on charge overnight and see what happens in case the battery is just flat ,if still nothing after charging try a jump start in case it is the batery died as they can go all of a sudden .

We put a new starter in and now dont get

Any lights working, or is everything dead? If nothing is working, charge the battery if you have or can borrow a charger. If you have no access to a charger, pull the battery out and bring to a major parts store, most offer a free quick charge, and will test the battery to determine its' condition.
Did you disconnect the battery to install the starter? If not, did any live wires touch anything and spark? If this happened, something may be damaged in the cars electrical system.
Check the battery terminals to make sure the connections are clean and tight, and also make sure the starter wires are connected and tight. Let me know what you find when you check the above, I'll help further if needed.

Hi just because the battery is new does not mean anything turn on your head light to see if they come on, if not most likely the battery, if you have a volt meter I would check the battery. Now if the light do come on then I would check the fuse for the ignition system, pull the fuse complete out to check if it is blown. These two check I would start with. Please let me know how you make out.
