Question about 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis

1 Answer

My air conditioner does not kick in until I driven a few miles down the road. The blower works normally. It doesn't matter if I have the climate control in automatic, A/C , or max A/C. Once it does engage it continues to work correctly until I shut the car off. I assume that the problem is the climate control module. Any suggestions?

Sounds like freon is low/or has moisture in it and is having to build up pressure before engaging.

3.3 2010 caravan overheating when idling with air conditioner on

check if the fan is driven from the water pump shaft
if so replace the fan clutch ( viscous fan hub) as it is not locking up to pull the air at idle
If electric ensure that the fans are coming on as required
the problem is a lack of air flow through the radiator at no or low road speeds and that come back to fan operation

I have a '03 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport AWD that the heater only blow hot air when going down the road. Van has a new radiator and new thermostat. Sometimes the blower will not kick on for a few

If the problem is a lack of air flow from the vents, and you suspect the blower motor is not running at times, you would need to test the blower relay and blower motor for power and ground when it is not working.

AIR DOSENOT BLOW ON AC ALL THE TIME , SOMETIMES IT DOSENT BLOWING AIR UNTIL I HAVE BEEN ON THE ROAD FOR SEVERAL MINUTES BUT NEVER REACHES ITS FULL STRENTH OF AIR FLOW

Do You mean air doesnt blow cold or fan doesnt blow strong. If you mean it doesnt blow cold that means you need to have a/c recharged. The reason it gets cold after being on the road for a while is because compressor takes time to cool freon when it is very low
