Question about 1995 Mazda 626

1 Answer

Mazda 626 Hi thanx so much for all your help it is a 4 cylinder. Before this all occured I had my exhaust pipe fixed and a tune up on the car. When I left the shop (a different mechanics) the check engine light starting coming on and off and has continued to do so. When the guy who did the work read the code it said there was a problem with the O2 sensor but found nothing wrong with the engine. Is it possible the work he did could have caused this (the leak) problem since there was no engine light/O2 sensor etc. problem till he'd finished the work? Are these two things related? And also why was there no code for the leak?? Does that not show up? Thanx again.

Very possible that the repair they did caused the o2 problem. The only codes u get for "leaks" are emissions related. I'd like to know the EXACT code he got, if u can find that out, I can help u even more. Thanks

Check engine lite just came on

Ok your cars computer is telling you a fault has occured . What you need to do is take it to a garage and get the computer scanned by a scantool to get the error code.
Once you have this error code you will know what is wrong and how to fix it.
Most good workshops have a scantool.
Hope this helps
