Sounds like vent tube or vapor canister is plugged. Try compressed air into vent tube. If that doesn't cure, vapor canister filter is plugged.

I have the same issue 2004 Yukon denali. Is the vent tube the one that connects to the filler neck, the smaller one? And also is the vapor canister located under the black plastic tank cover? Thanks

My 96 yukon wil not start. Sounds like it will crank over but won't. It is not the fuel. I changed the ignition coil still won't start.

try spraying some carb cleaner into a vaccum hose and see if it will run. If so then you have ignition but no fuel delivery. If not then you have an ignition problem. make sure you hear the fuel pump hum when you turn the key to the run position. It should run for +/- 5 seconds then shut off. remove gas cap and listen for fuel pump operation through the fill hole. If you can hear the pump then you have a fuel injection issue. If the engine starts and runs for a few seconds then shuts off then you can suspect the crank or cam position sensor. The fuel pump runs through the oil pressure switch which could also be an issue.

Are you able to start the truck with application of the gas pedal?

I go to put gas in my 04 denali and it excepts abouut a gallon then sshuts off like there is something blocking the tank

All of todays cars and trucks sold in the USA are equipped with Vented Gas Filler Systems...try starting to fuel slower then increase flow after a few might also try not putting the gas nozzle fully in...but still in far enough not to spill...the pressure varies from pump to pump...:)

Dodge dakota 2005 -check engine light(gas cap)gas cap was replaced.Fuel spills out when filling tank.Fuel lines were smoked and no clog was found.

There is a check valve in the filler hose to stop fuel from coming out seems yours might be stuck , run a metal coat hangers inside the filler neck while prying open the little fill flap. see if that helps OR you are not or have no VENT to AIR in your evap system causing excessive tank pressure.

OMGosh...denali blows out hot air on driver side vents

You can do on of two things to see if it will reset the hvac system. Remove the negative battery cable wait two minutes then reconnect. This may reset the hvac. If not you can turn your switch on, but don't start it. Pull the shift lever down to 1st gear tilt the steering wheel all the way down. Now start pulling toward you with the trim on the dash to remove the trim. When it is removed, you can remove the Hvac controller. Once you remove it disonnect the wires wait two minutes and reinstall. This should get you cooling.

04 GMC Yukon won't start on less than 1/4 tank of gas

have your evaporative emission control system check.sound like you have purge valve solenoid not working or vent valve control solenoid.have it see which component not working..reason your gas tank expanding. your fuel vapor building up pressure.your purge valve and vent valve open allowing gas vapor from charcoil canister. to be burn in the intake manifold to be burn in combustion chamber.

Power steering pump and cap has been replaced 3 times but there is still a leak. What could be causing this? There is a lot of built up pressure when removing the cap.

The cap should be vented, if I'm not mistaken. Check to see if dirt may have clogged the vent and is causing excessive pressure when the fluid heats up. Good luck.

Gas tank won't vent

Supposed to hiss. There is a pressure sensor on the tank which when bad willl let you know there is a problem. That is why there is usually a warning about fuel spray on the gas cap/lid.
