It's just a matter of getting underneath it, pulling connectors and cleaning them.

Hello! Is the Check Engine Light on?...If it is there is a trouble code stored...I'll need that code...Rent, buy or borrow a scanner to plug into the On Board Diagnostic II connector to read the trouble code/codes...Then send the code to me...There are 54 Technical Service Bulletins (TSB) written for your transmission...A TSB is not a Recall but acknowledgement, by the factory, of identified problems...Which means it has a fair amount of trouble...without that code it would be very difficult to define the problem...It may be a simple sensor replacement...guru...Saailer

I have a 2002 hyundai accent gl it wont start when it rains

dear friend-first of you should not use quick start on a petrol vehicle.also the rain has nothing to do with starting up,you problem lies whith starting feul,i think you must take your vehicle for a diagnostic check to get some fault codes and work from there.

Hard shifting Impala, sometimes.

Sounds like the vacumn modulator isn't connected. Like the hose has come off, or there is a tear in the hose. (4t60-E transmission)

4t65-E transmission is a different ballgame. Check the electrical connector to the side of the tranny. Make sure it's plugged in tight, and there is no corrosion on the connectors. Past this point it's time to check sensors. WSS, (Wheel Speed Sensor), and VSS, (Vehicle Speed Sensor)
Make sure these connections aren't corroded, and are on tight on both transmissions.
(Don't know which one you have. 4t60-E, or 4t65-E. I suspect you have the 4t60-E. It will state this on the transmission oil pan in raised letter/numbers)

We just bought a 1999 ford explorer for our daughter, when taking off, sometimes the transmission appearred to hesitate in switching gears. My husband change the filter, gasket and fluid. In drive there is...

Just a guess, but it sounds like an internal valving problem (pressures inside are being mis-directed likely by valves that are not closing all the way) This can cause damage to clutches as they are fighting against each other to move the vehicle. It should be checked by a reliable transmission shop immediately. (they have the proper test equipment to determine what needs to be done...(transmissions are not "user friendly" for repairs other than filter service and external adjustments)
