Hello
the shake could be a couple of different things i would check the tires first and see if that is what it is the easiest way is to remove them inspect them closly and rotate them to the rear if the shake goes away replace the tires, it could also be a bad axle shaft check them for excessive play if they do replace them cv axles are reasonably priced so if the vehicle has alot of miles on it ,it would be best to just go ahead and replace both of them
good luck
Chris

Tune up spark plugs, wires, check fuel filter, etc... Check distributor, change transmission fluid and coolant. If you need a new distributor I would try looking for a used one online.

If you used one of the 'quick lube' shops, you may not have any oil in it at all. One of them drained the automatic transmission instead of the oil and even filled the transmission with engine oil, destroying it. $6000 later with a law suit behind her, she got her car and money back. Most of those shops employ idiots and I would never entrust any vehicle to them.

YOU WILL HAVE TO RECHECK IT AND MAKE SURE THAT IT IS SET CORRECTLY BECAUSE EVEN IF YOU ARE OFF BY 1 TOOTH,IT WILL SHAKE AND GIVE YOU VERY POOR PERFORMANCE..IF YOU HAVE BAD ACCELERATION,THEN IT IS OFF.HOPE THIS INFO HELPS. TAKE CARE AND GOOD LUCK, MANNY

1994 Olds 88 - Car shakes badly when accelerating, usually in the 45-50 mile per hour range. Also now idling rough. Came on all of a sudden. Any ideas before I take it to a shop. Seems to stop shaking...

There is a big possibility that you have wheels that are not balanced. You should have the wheels check wear, missing wheal weights ect. I think if you get this done it will take care of the problem. Good luck.....
