I'll give it a try, I'm not to sure it's the tensioner cause it is a bit bigger than most I've seen, its just too far down there to see what it really is. Thanks for the info

This may be your tensioner with the car off make sure the Bolt is Tight in the center of it.. If it is and still wobbles that pulley may need replacing if the Noise is pretty loud..

2004 Chysler 300 M vibration balancer pully seems to wobble when running and slight noise. Wobble is slight but appears belt making noise. Is there bearings that are starting to fail?

if you don't have an oil leak then it would just be the pulley. the pulley is metal on rubber on metal, the bond may have come lose, remove the belts and check the pulley. to remove you undo the bolt and use a pulley extractor to remove.

Loud rattling sound top of engine near or below the alternator when idling, goes away if accelerator is pressed

Hello: Remove the serpentine belt, see if the waterpump pulley wobbles/makes noise when you spin it. If thats not it then start the engine, belt still off see if noise is there also while engine is running see if vthe crankshaft pulley wobbles. Also check the A/C compressor pulley (engine off, belt off) spin it by hand and check for noise and wobble. If all the previous is ok then it could be the balance shaft front bearing and or the timing chain.

I have a 1994 Toyota camry xle 6cyl.,I started the car this morning and heard a whirring noise under the hood. Opened up the hood & the noise was coming from where the pulleys are .And had not heard...

Was the timing belt replaced recently? If your crank pulley/harmonic balancer is wobbling, it is probably loose. Do not run the engine, if this part falls out, it will cause more damage.

The serpentine belt and power stering belt won't stay oon they come off as soon a you start the car, 1985 Porsche 944

while the belt is off, engine off, check for a frozen pulley-except for the crankshaft, one is probably locked up or makies a lot of noise/wobbles when turned by hand.. Also, look at the pulleys and see if they 'line up' by looking at them from the side.

you need to check the pulleys sounds like one of the pulleys has bearings going out look see if wobbling back and forth the main one that goes out is the tensioner pulley

2000 Chevy Cavalier making a noise when air is shut off

This problem sounds like the aircompressor pully, the bearing is shot.
With the engine running and the air conditioner off there is a grinding noise, look at the compressor pully, does it wobble? Then turn on the air conditioner and the noise stops, look at the compressor pully again, the wobble stops? If so that's the problem.

Humming noise and wobbling pulley 1995 Corolla

Maybe, you would have to remove the belts and then take a look at all the pulleys, it could be a pulley or a bad waterpump, or even something in the timing belt, like a timing belt pulley or tensioner pulley or waterpump, the best way to find out is to remove all the belts and then start the motor and listen for the noise, if the noise is still there with the belts removed then its something in the timing belt, but is the noise goes away then its something with the belts a pulley or a alternator, you would have to inspect all pulley and the acc, hope this helps,
