Unplug the horn or pull the horn fuse until you can get it looked at by a mechanic.

Air bag deployed and horn sets off is there a way I can stop that and reuse the horn.. I took the fuse out to stop it but I would like my horn back

Sounds like the horn switch in the steering wheel is mashed flat in the closed position. This would be part of replacing the SRS in the steering wheel.

Additionally if the airbag deployed, the pyro loads in the seat belt retractors are most likely locked in place, and also need to be replaced, to have use the seat belts again. The seat belt locked in place is not a good operational usage of them, it is not like a 5 point harness, and can cause an injury if it is locked.

2002 Ford F-150 regular cab. Went to get it inspected for licensing and the horn does not work. HELP with instructions would be appreciated. Thanks

1. Did you check the fuse for the horn ?
This is Engine Compartment Fuse # 7 ; 20A

2. You can pull the Horn relay and jumper the normally open contacts ( as shown with the red line below ) to activate the horns without using the button.

If this does not work, either the fuse is no good, or the ground at the horn connector is no good. Replace the fuse or test the ground on the horn connector with a meter ( set to ohms ) to the battery neg terminal.

If this does work, using a meter ( set to ohms ) test from pin #2 in the relay socket ( as shown above ) to the battery neg terminal. When you press on the horn button, you should have a low resistance ( The test steps will stop you from paying for basic trouble shooting issues.

F-150 horn comes on for no apparent reason.

oh there is a reason, that is most likely a warped airbag, this makes the horn contacts touch and sound the horn
