Makes a noise when first staeted in the moring and in evening on way home from work. But this only last during the first minute or so of warm up. horrible noise. after that it sounds fine?

It could be a sign of bad transmission solenoid. If so, your vehicle has trouble shifting into drive or reverse. Normally, when you start your car, you're able to shift into drive or reverse right away. With a bad transmission solenoid, the vehicle could have a delay of a few seconds, or even take several minutes to warm up and operate properly. During this delay, the vehicle will act similar to how it behaves in neutral. It won't stay in park, and when you press the gas pedal, the vehicle will make an engine revving noise but not move.
Well I am not a diesel mechanic, but I have worked on a few. First, there is no "spark" on a diesel other than the glow plugs. As with any no start issue, you would need to figure out if the fuel pump is working and the injectors have fuel. My first guess would be a clogged fuel filter.
Check your belts if they are damaged or if they fell off!! Your drive belts may have loosened or they're worn, causing the A/C and alternator to die. This in turn will result in gradual to immediate power loss. If you have more info...please post!!
IF OIL IS COLD OR LOW WHERE AIR GOT IN THE SYSTEM.SYSTEM NEEDS BLEEDING.IF FLUID GOT DRY LOW.BUT A FAULTY POWER STEERING WILL MAKE NOISES BEFORE FAILING.
Its more than likely a bad worn or loose drive belt. Here is what you do the next time you start this vehicle up and the noise is herd open the hood and pour some water on the drive belts this noise should go away or get louder temporarily.
