Question about 1999 Chrysler 300M

1 Answer

I have a 99 chrysler 300m that I recently bought, the map lights are non operational, I checked the fuses none of which are blown. I have no sun visors or courtesy lights on any of the doors, would that have anything to do with it? if not what would be your guess, thanks in advance.

Check that the wiring harness that goes to tail lights has a ground wire connected to a good grounding spot - not rusted or loose.

How can i turn my interior lights and map lights on. As since i have bought the car they have not worked
Ok, assuming fuse #24 (30 Amp) and fuse #5 (10 Amp) of the rear power block is good...
Front and rear map lights and sun visor lights are out .
Glove box and door lights DO work.
Leaves only one common wire that is orange and blue from the rear distribution block that is broken somewhere. A short should have blown fuses or melted the wire.

2001 chrysler 300m coil packs not fireing

could be your module, your coil packs, a blown ecm fuse or bad computer in your vehicle. Also may be the map/maf sensor that gets info from the brain box. You have 2 computers. A body computer and an electronic computer. The ECM may be bad but I doubt it. Check the fuses ant the other stugg. Check to see if you have any codes. This will aid you in solving the issue.

Battery Draining on 2003 Chrysler 300M

Are you sure that all interior lights go off? Make sure the vanity mirrors actually go off when the doors are closed. Glove compartment light, map lights. Some had center console lights. Check for a short at the cigarette lighters. Use an ohm meter and check for continuity to ground at supply wires.

I have a 1999 Chrysler 300M and recently every so often the interior lights will flicker on for a second...can't figure out why

Either a switch or a bulb. Does it happen when you hit the map light, or the door opening or what? This is a solution with a question... a two'fer.

Fuse keeps blowing in 99 chrysler 300m

You have a short in the wiring somewhere. have you tried to pull the connectors off the tail light assemblies? pull both then connect them 1 at a time to see which side is causing the problem, could be as simple as a bulb that has shorted it self out.
