02 sensors My 2002 Tundra has 60.000 miles and I have replaced 1 O2 censor, and right after I did that, another went out. Will Toyota help since it has fairly low miles? Is is possible to replace them yourself? It cost 324.00 to replace the first one!!!! I dont have that kind of money and inspection is in Sept. Thanks for any info.... Amber in NC

I had the same problem, and went to and found that Toyota had extended the warranty on these two o2 sensors. call the toll free number in your owners manual, give them your vin(vehicle identification number), and tell them your problem. they will call your local Toyota dealer and give them all the info. The dealer will fix it for free as long as you haven't exceeded your mileage for the warranty which i believe is 70,000mi.

P0155 02 censor bank2 censor1..were is it located?

What motor? Bank refers to the side of the engine. Bank 1 is always the same side as the numb one cylinder. Bank 2 is the other side. Sensor refers to before or after the catalytic converter. Sensor 1 is before the cat. Sensor 2 is after the cat. If you have any questions let me know. Thank you for using!

02 Toyota tundra won't idle. I put a new battery on and cleaned air filter

sounds like a bad idle control long as you're driving it and giving it gas it runs somewhat ok right? it won't idle by itself,or it idles up and down by itself and then dies?thats a sign of a bad idle control sensor, some times they straighten up after the engine warms up and run fine.but eventually go completely bad and won't idle at all. hope this helps and thank you for choosing

The check engine light is on and I brought the 2002 tundra to the dealer and they said it was the o2 sensor on the 2nd block. I would like to know the location of where it is so I could do it myself.

if its o2 bank 2 its the sensor after the catalytic converter bank 1 is in front of catalytic converter towards engine0-- the o2 sensors are screwed into the exhaust pipe follow the pipe from engine back under vehicle and will see both

Open circuit in o2 sensor from the ck eng codes 60000 miles on the trk never had a problem could this be cat w/bad function code

An open circuit code for an O2 sensor would not be a catalytic converter. An open cicuit code would normally indicate a faulty O2 sensor. 60,000 miles would be about right for this sensor to go bad, especially with all the additives in todays fuel. Hope this helps

Error P0155

That code will not affect the drivability of the vehicle. The heater does just that: it heats up the oxygen sensor to operating temperature. You can change it yourself, raise the vehicle up, the sensor is the one on the passenger side, right after the exhaust manifold.

Thanks for choosing FixYa for advice!

Check engine light on code is P0155-02

I had to replace both o2 sensors on my 2002 Tundra after about 50K. Toyota recalled this problem afterwards and refunded my money. My solution to you is to not worry about which one is bad and go ahead and replace both, because I had one bad and before I could replace it the other went bad also. PS: You'll have to purchase a special socket to remove them and unless you pruchase the Toyota product ( I used O'Reilly parts), you have to cut and splice the wires with a waterproof splicing kit included with the sensors. Just follow the instructions, not a hard job.
