Question about 2001 Jeep Cherokee
Posted by Anonymous on
On the oil leak issue, i would check the valve covers to see if the oil is coming from there, these have a tendecy to leak on high mileage vehichles, also check the oil sending unit, i believe this is located close to your oil filter, also, check the oil pan gasket for leakage, some of these leak in the front of the pan, under the water pump area, on the coolant issue, check all of the hose connections to make sure it is not leaking from 1 of them, if they check out ok, i would check the oil on the oil dip stick to make sure that it is not foamy, or whiteish looking, if so, coolant is getting into the oil, this could be a blown head gasket, or intake manifold gasket leaking, or cracked cylinder, hope that this information has helped you, and also hope that the problem is a minor one to fix.
