Hi :) ((P)) This the symbol for parking brake Check the brakes fluid maybe the brake lines have started to leak or they are seized up. But this wouldn't stop the car from starting. The fuel lines need to be drained of the old gas buy finding the valve stem on the fuel line by the engine and push the button in like you are letting air out of your tires and turn the engine over make sure to keep a rag over it so it don't shoot in your eyes or face. I just purchased 2003 Town Car with 70k miles that had been sitting a long time--possibly a year. The dealer had changed the oil and had it running. It came with a half tank of terrible gas. When I drove it home it had lower than normal power with a slight miss and got only 17mpg on the interstate. I have since driven it about 1000 miles with Chevron fuel system cleaner in the gas, put in new spark plugs with new boots and spring connectors, changed trans fluid, changed power steering fluid, and changed the fuel filter, put on new rear brakes and parking brake shoes, and bled the brake system with 2 quarts of fluid. It runs nearly perfect now.

I own that same car

If you never moved it in ten months,
you will have to take all 4 brakes apart
and clean off all rust and lube pad slippers etc

The (P) is the Electronic Parking Brake
Is wouldn't worry about that until I cleaned
up the brakes and screwed the rear caliper
piston in and out a few times and ratcheted
up the park brake.

When you say started, you mean what?
Ready to drive again?

You Flushed the Brake Fluid? That gets done every 2 years
The Coolant (GO 5 Yellow) every 3 years?
Trans Fluid and Power Steering, every 30,000 miles
not over 3 years?
Clean MAF Sensor
Change Front 2, O2 Sensors at 100,000 miles
Spark Plugs every 70,000 miles?
Check Fuel Pressure at rail --- 42#
Charge battery

Well with fuel injection you should dump the gas , and put fresh gas in to help the injectors . But I have put pure rubbing alcohol in the tank with injector cleaner and started it anyway !

Does it click when you try to turn it over? If so it sounds like a stuck/bad starter tap the starter with a hammer while someone tries starting it.

Cant make the ac compressor come on in 05 lincoln ls

I believe you will need a professional scanner and diagnostic manual to even start on that issue.
I have a 2004 LS and all the factory manuals.
I would need the car to see what does work and where to start a diagnostic process.
Very complicated vehicle. Nice, but would never recommend one, as 06 was the end of the run. I will keep mine and hone my skills every few months,as that seem to be what it wants.

Need to know what type of battery needed for lincoln ls

Check your local Napa parts store. Your battery is in the trunk of the car and must be vented to the outside. To change the battery is a 15-30 minute procedure.
Battery # 7565 $95.49 75 month
#7566 $114.00 75 month
#8465 $104.00 84 month and they list others. Good Luck!
