The ACC relay is probably fused. Just to the right of the regular fuse panel. It's a plug in unit, so you can pull it out. Take off cover and check it or replace. Water had gotten into mine and was all rusted inside and contact was constant.

If you can't turn the radio off with the radio controls, remove the fuse until you can have it repaired.. If you turn the radio off while the engine is running, does it come back on by itself when you turn the key off?

I have noticed that with many of the newer vehicles we use on the base, the radio stays on briefly after the key is shut off. It may turn off on yours if you wait a minute or so.

I have the same problem with my radio saying on with the key turned off on my 2001 ford escape. Has anyone found a solution?

I removed the 5 fuse and the radio doesn't come on anymore, AT ALL. But at least the battery isn't draining anymore.

Bmw z3 1999 will not crank

The problem sounds like the battery has run down. Even though the ignition is off, things like clocks and the radio draw small amounts of power to retain their settings, and the instrument cluster doesn't draw as much power as the starter. It usually takes about a month or so to drain the battery. Try jump starting the car, or put it on a battery charger for a while.

Intermittent problem starting 2002 volvo s60.

the symtoms you describe sounds like a battery fault. but if you have had the battery properley tested and is good then you either have something discharging the battery intermittantly ie. trunk light staying on or a high resistance in the main battery leads or earth connections

I have a 1993 honda accord, just bought new battery, when i let it sit over night car wont start have to jump it off, something is killing my power

I just did this repair 2 weeks ago. Hope it is the same for you. It turned out to be the ignition switch. Not the actual tumbler that you insert your key in, but the switch mounted to it from behind. The part is $40. at Autozone. Remove the lower plastic steering column cover. Remove the plastic knee panel. You will see it screwed onto the the key column. It's most always white. It may function properly but inside this little switch are many contact points that when they fail, cause power to draw from your battery. For instance, you'll be able to turn your radio on and run your windows down even after you remove the key.

Car dead this morning just a clicking noise now keys are stuck in ignition

The battery is dead for many reasons. But jump starting the car or getting the battery charged shold get the key out. The battery is hard to run down on the newest cars as the systems shut off with inactivity. The altenator may have stopped but you need to get going again first just to find the problem. Once the car is running cheak to see that all of the warning lights are out with the engine running, If the check engine light or battery light are on thwey will need further looking into. with the car now running you should be able to turn the car off and remove the key. Wight he key removed and the doors closed with the hood open disconnect the battery and claen the cable ends. They may look claean but clean them anyway as the connection problems are the most common problem. Wire brush everything connect the positive first and get it tight then the negative and get it tight too. If it just clicks or the lights come on low the battery is likly to havea problem and may need replaced or shop charged and tested before it's to be trusted again. Jump start or jump charge the battery as the key needs to be removed as the car is worked on. If it was running OK before this happened and the battery checks out with clean cables and the battery charged and it still doesn't run your peoblems go still deeper.

Many problems main is the abs light is on and also the car battery will run itself out if left connected while off. while the car is running the battery is fine and the car works great

AbS problems are tough. You have sensors at both front wheels. The sensors have to be very close to the sensor rings, almost touching. They produce voltage as the tire/wheel assy turns. So as in any electronic system, ck the wiring, from your sensors to the ABS Brain at the Brake master Cyl. Some have plugs at the A arms above your shock ck to be sure they are not unpluged. So, make sure your sensor is close to the sensor ring, ck your wiring, ck your fluid and any wiring at the master cyl. If you can find someone in your area to read the code your are way ahead. As for your battery running down, 2 things can cause this, one is the Alternator Rectifier diodes. Find the large wire at the alt and unhook it. Then wait if your battery stays charged thats your problem, If the Battery still runs down it may be your Radio, Have you had to jump start this car or have you jumped someone else, many times jumping another car causes the radio to short internal. Easy fix remove the fuse till you can replace the radio.
