Well, for starters you have to remove the transaxle, that in itself
is a major task. However if you want to attempt this repair, you
will need a repair manual and appropriate tools. Good luck.

Replacing water pump & timing belt on 2001 Dodge Stratus R/T. Easy to replace front main seal, too?

oil seal failure is the main killer of rubber timing belts . Oil can come from the crankshaft seal --the cam shaft seal/s and the hydraulic belt adjuster.. So if you have the front off and am replacing the timing belt then it is fools economy not to replace the seals and any idler pulleys at the same time.

My oil is leaking from the rear of the engine of a dodge stratus 2004.

most commonly people over fill the oil on cars/trucks which results in a leaky rear main seal

located in between the motor and the transmission under the oil pan around the main crank shaft

hope that works for you

Good luck!

I need to know where the egr vlave on a 1998 dodge stratus 4 cyl is located

It usually helps to provide which engine you have and the 8th VIN digit. The valve is located in the cyl head, towards the rear of the head, left side.

The drivers side steering boot is leaking on my 98 dodge stratus.Do i have to replace the whole rack?

Actually a rebuilt one may make more sense, the seals fail, usually because of excessive movement, and a new seal often fails pretty quick.

Was there any unusual events, like turning with the engine off, sometimes fluid goes where it shouldn't under those conditions....

Cant get spring of rear brakes to change them

There are brake spring tools that can be found at your auto parts store. I would use a screwdriver and long nose pliers when the proper tool wasn't available.

I just changed the oil in my '98 dodge stratus and now the oil just drains out. I think it might be the rear camshaft seal but I'm not 100% sure. Anyone know how to replace that seal or any suggestions...

sound like drain plug is out or loose or leaking around oil filter at gasket did you remove all of the old oil filter gasket and did you prelube the gasket by putting oil on your finger and firmly seating the gasket

Engine

it sounds like a rear main seal or a head gasket check your oil if it looks sort of like a milk shake color or foamy its the head gasket if its is leaving little spots under the car towards the back of the motor it is the rear main seal or it could an oil pan gasket.
