ok on a 2.4l on the black/green and white wires use ohm meter and there is no specific spec for that engine just make sure the the resistance changes and there is no dead spots. for the 3.0l black and white wires specs are 1.0-9.0k ohms im guessing the specs are the same either engine. close to full open

Hi, all vapour cannisters are of the same design. Fumes are drawn through a charcoal medium "and cleaned"plus the fumes condensate is absorbed by the treated charcoal The major differences in designs cover the physical size of the cannister and the layout of the fittings. In theory it is possible to fit any cannister to any vehicle using modifications to the cannister body / shell.

I had the same problem on my 1997 Nissan Pickup XE. I got my mechanic to adjust the idle speed. It's a pretty simple and easy thing to do if you know what you are doing.
