Question about 1997 Ford Windstar
The dimmer switch is not the problem.
First-. You have to check the relays and fuses block. Pull out one by one (if you know how to use a multimeter is good) because one or more than one has a circuit problem.
You can buy relays on Ford Spare Dealer or Auto Parts Store (may be 12.00 or less).
Second-. You have to change 2 relay, one for Delay time Lamps Off after doors are closed, other for Immediate turning off lamps with dimm switch or doors switch.
This could be helpful for you.
